I know a guy who didn't get his mail for weeks because his mail carrier was scared of dogs.

The previous carrier had left a note saying there were dogs on the premises, but...it was an apartment, the dogs lived upstairs, the mailboxes were on the first floor with a locked door on the other side and the first carrier who left the note never ran into them, just heard thrm. The mail person was phobic. My friend had to go to the Post Office to find out what was going on and get his mail.
