is that they do a tremendous job of showing that he cares about people. He knows everyone's name. He relates to each individual on a personal level. He does nice things for all the people in his life. He knows that his brother hates him yet he still works hard to improve a sick man's quality of life.
AND
He has no problem breaking laws or working with criminals. If he were giving his money to the poor, he'd be Robin Hood.
I kind of loved that Ed Begley Jr. had the best read on him of anyone.
