I say this all the time as a business teacher. I just don't understand how someone can't come in and simply do it better.
I don't fundamentally understand the entire system.
For example, for years and years and years, Cincinnati's airport has rated as one of the most expensive in the country. Coincidentally, it is a fraction of what it once was with flights only leaving out of essentially one terminal instead of 3.
How is that possible? From a business standpoint, doesn't it follow that you would lower prices to increase sales? I understand that a certain percentage of their flights are corporate from Kroger and Proctor & Gamble, etc. but is that truly THE factor?
I concede that it's complicated and that airports and airlines are different businesses not always working together, but man, talk about a downturn over the last couple decades.
