My older daughter - the drama queen - called me in tears. Seems that mummy's husband is moving into an apartment and he's taking the dog. She's upset... about the dog.

I just saw them 15 minutes earlier. My ex just got a new tv that she wanted me to see and husband was there too. I remarked on how slim it was and how HUGE the new speakers were that they just got. He remarked about how they'd managed to fit everything into the car. Everything seemed fine. But I can see how maybe things aren't going well. That's fine. None of my business beyond the impact it may have on my kids.

Older daughter put younger daughter on the phone, who only wanted to talk about gymnastics and had no interest in the other stuff.

I'm chiefly concerned about the dog, frankly. He's a handful. A little terrier that will dig his way through everything. I hope it's true that he's taking the dog and not dumping him at the pound.
