he's astonishingly good 5v5, which is a rare, game-breaking skill - typical young elite players get about 35-50% of their points on the powerplay - McDavid got just 25% of his there, meaning he's making the most of his chances at even strength. There's only room for growth there.
(in short, he's everything he's been billed to be and more)
