Read earlier that by the letter of the Federal law they're required to give you 400% of your fare up to $1350 in cash.

If you're bumped involuntarily and delayed by more than two or three hours. The $800 could easily have been less than the legal requirement, especially if it's a voucher. If they get volunteers they can give them less.
