What I think is strange is the way NBA teams handle it.

There's an honor system in baseball where a team has to try if the other team's in a playoff battle.
The NBA teams this year are universally saying, "Fuck it."
I'm not saying that's never happened before, but I don't recall it. If I were the other team in the playoff race, I'd be *pissed*.
