Also, alt-reality fiction idea - what if the Uk and USA had worked out their differences leading up to the American Revolution?

Everything after, all world events stay the same...WWI, The Great Depression and WWII but the US is still part of the British Empire. I assume this has been done but it'll be a fun thought exercise.
