I highly recommend a group class. You all are learning together and with the benefit of a teacher you will make strides much faster. Having a group

also makes it more social and supportive. I learned that way and while you can't get great that way (ultimately you probably need private lessons to get really good), you can get to where it's fun. You can play songs and get more out of it faster.
