mary, if you use those "smart plugs", do you have to only turn it on/off with the app/alexa then? I assume telling Alexa to turn it off actually cuts

power to the socket so you can't turn it on again without telling her to?

if not using the app/alexa you would need to 'reset' the plug - either using a switch (if it's a switched plug) or unplugging and replugging it in -- nm
