The problem with their attitude "about liberals" as they always say their being talked down to.

liberals tried to be polite. To use logic and reason. But still...the opposition felt disrespected (insecure, much?). Now, liberals will be blunt.
One of the joys of the Trump Voter in casting that vote was they now felt and feel validated to say what what they whispered. This works both ways now.
The divide gets worse but I didn't vote for Newt or Cheney who truly destroyed what remained of civility in US politics. I constantly voted for people who were moderate and believed in compromise. I'm doing less of that now.
