most of them wouldn't be ones who spent 25 years in the public eye as either the pinnacle of achievement for her gender, or public enemy #1a/b.
Of course, for Hillary, that's a double-edged sword because she doesn't win the Senate seat without having been First Lady and she isn't SecState without being a rock star in the Senate without seniority.
But the right woman could win. Hell, Hillary could have won if Comey hadn't fucked up his last ten days of the election or easily won if Obama and her could have tried selling what they did do for the Midwest.
But instead, she ran a race that was the basic equivalent to someone going, "Can you believe this fucking guy?" -- and they did because he was the only person offering up anything.
