The whole thing was weird. The last time we saw him in Knoxville, he was complaining throughout the meal about what he thought was diverticulitis. Then, he went to the emergency room and found out it was actually his appendix that had clearly bothered him for months. We think he was in serious danger of it rupturing.
So, he gets down to Disney and isn't just okay. He's *great*! He has no problems walking, doesn't show any signs of fatigue, and eats like he's discovering flavors for the first time.
We were on the deluxe dining plan, which meant appetizer, entree and dessert for everybody. On lunch and dinner of our last day, he wasn't just eating everything on his plate. He was scarfing down all the extras on other plates. AND he was devouring the bread, too. It was like he hadn't eaten comfortably in months and loved every second of each meal.
The end result was that we spent four hours on our last day watching him eat. Those meals took *forever*! :)
