I agree he does. And he is actually an executive producer of Colbert's show. But it seems like there could be some balance. Regarding your IM, I'd

almost like to think he has that much power, but I don't think he does. He had a nightly show on a minor network that was mostly preaching to the choir. You had Colbert and Seth Meyers out there on a bigger platform, as well as John Oliver (not to mention the Daily Show still exists) and it didn't move the needle enough.
