Sure, guys have done longer stare downs but he hit it, looked at the pitcher as he took some steps and then flipped his bat. -- (edited)

If you're the other team that doesn't look good to you. To me, it's obvious he was showing up the pitcher at a time when he should have just put his head down and ran the bases. He's an idiot for not reading the situation. If he had an issue with the pitcher in the past and he felt he was getting even I'd understand but they don't know each other. They're in different leagues. This was a bush league move.
