I'm throwing the BS flag on this sporcle quiz. Name the 197 countries of the world and the average score is a 67%?!? No way. -- (edited)

I got 75 and got frustrated, but 67% seen way way high.
Takes a while.

143. I couldn't spell some that I knew and the tags covered up some of the map. I couldn't remember the ones in the caribbean or most in the Pacific -- nm

Its not finding them on a globe. Its just naming countries, plus its probably attempted by a non-average selection of citizens

It's self-selecting. People tend to take on quizzes they are likely to do well on. People who can only name, say, 50 countries wouldn't take the quiz

I think only people who are acing it finish it as it is long and needing the exact spelling is a pissoff -- nm

If you spell it wrong spell check should offer you the correct spelling. I needed it for the Czech Republic. -- nm

FWIW, the "name all the countries in alphabetical order, without a map" quiz has an average score of 66% -- nm

(9.6% of quiz-takers got 100%, 25.4% scored above 188. No way are these average quiz-takers) -- nm

Or they cheated which makes no sense but I'm sure they rationalized it somehow. -- nm

Sounds like someone's jealous! (But also, remember how hard pfm worked to learn all of the elements for a Sporcle quiz. This is the same thing) -- nm

True. I could also see people taking a peek at a map before doing the quiz.
