Okay, based on research...

Flights appear to go somewhere between $1,000 and $1,500 per person. Reagen points out that some mileage deals exist that could help with that.
Tickets to the parks are weird by Disney standards. They're less than $300 for six days per person, although that fluctuates some depending on the strength of the dollar against the yen. Let's say $400 per person at most.
The trick is hotels. There are a lot of options. We're going to stay at the Disney MiraCosta, which is supposedly the best Disney property in the world. It's not cheap. We're looking at $2,700 for five nights, give or take a bit. This hotel has an occupancy rate of 99%, one of the best on the planet. So, reservations are hard to come by. It actually takes some strategy.
You can stay at several non-Disney resorts in the area. The going rate on those is about $150 a night. A couple of them even have English-speaking booking agents, which is important.
Then, you have meals and incidentals. Pricing at Tokyo Disneyland restaurants is allegedly less than Walt Disney World, so you should already have a good idea there. My guess is that anyone who travels to Tokyo will have a lot more incidentals/souvenir expenses than normal since we're not ty97 and aren't likely to go back soon.
