to keep me out! actually, more specifically they did change it to keep people on the visa I used to be on out.

it started as filler for skills that were in short supply here, but ended up being abused by a couple fast food chains to import minimum wage workers, and not enforced properly by the government, so they're scrapping it. in the meantime I'm just the unlucky guy caught in the crossfire.
