why do I have to do that? is everything that happens from this whitehouse just bad?

Memorial day is about family events with food, and memorials for relatives (for mine that typically meant putting flags/flowers on graves - note my grandfather and mom are doing that today). Since its a family event/BBQ sorta day, that typically means that people will consume a bit of alcohol. So why in the hell couldn't they consume a champagne popsicle if they wanted.
Was a champagne bottle in the news for doing a bad thing recently? what about a popsicle?
we are just demonizing a family who is out of touch with maybe the norm by calling this bad optics.
