I like the idea of supporting its status as Québécois cuisine, but mostly just within Canada.

We shouldn't dictate whether those outside Canada refer to it as regional or national.
We have more important things to focus on internationally, like the fact that we're sandwiched between two irate nuclear powers with obstinate leaders.
