Tool - The unquestionable masters of Thunder.

a majestic show. 1 hr long so it was mostly all hits (some stuff, I think, from "10,000 Days which I don't count as "hits").

The bass player is older (like the audience). He looked like an old Norse God come to dispense a divine walls of sweeping, deep rolling walls of sound. The sounds the Unjust or just Unknowning hear before they perish in Fire.

Thank goodness for him as the only blemish on the show was the "Where is Maynard" game we're forced to play. I finally spotted him I think and I think he was either dressed in riot gear OR as a mixed outfit of a dark nun/Darth Vader. Who knows. And the sound mix was either bad accidentally or intentional which I found disappointing. Contrast that with the guy from Cage the Elephant who was channeling the best of Mick Jagger and actually went *into* the audience earlier in the day.

The bass player, however, seemed to try to connect with the audience which was appreciated. And I love the dedication to the music of prog fans. I was standing just behind a guy who drummed, beat for beat, most of the show.

Overall, it's what I hoped for.
