I'm well aware of that. I'm not sure he is. But moreso he's made them the symbol of his core constituency, so appearing to work on their behalf

resonates generally with his America First followers. Of course on a macro level it misses the point that just because it is good for the world too, doesn't mean that it's not better for America. This is the point the America First people don't get.
