Easy -- he's not going to LA for a better team. He's going for more money.

If you want, let CP3 walk since Lebron is 90% the PG he is and orders of magnitude better everywhere else on the floor...and build from inside out.
But even that's questionable since they are likely only the 2nd best team in the West then.
