The Destiny community does seem to give to charity quite a bit.

Though it's probably more the streamer community and not just confined to Destiny.
I don't think deleting the Warlock is that big a deal. It just means he gets to redesign how the character looks when he moves over to Destiny 2. Something some people would probably like to do anyway.
