I can't begin to understand the challenge it must be to "come out". I don't have that experience. I certainly know what I am and how I feel but I don't have to live in a world where I even have to do anything about that.
So yes, from my perspective, it is easy to use the "living a lie" line of thinking. Like, why wouldn't you just tell anyone who asked or if it came up or whatever? So please, it is very helpful to hear what it is like on the other side and from someone that has been through it. I'm not sure even at 14 she can really truly have a conversation with as about it since, as you said, it is a struggle she's having herself
Now I'm rambling, but please, yes, your perspective is very helpful
