So if it's $1,600 a month in rent that'll be $4,800 plus the cost of the moving van. I could rent a van and have a friend drive which would save a lot. But I'm still looking at like $5k to move.

        There can be application fees as well if you're looking at certain places like a co-op. But most people use a real estate agent and they get something - Krusty Jun 27, 07:47
