If I were to go to the U.S. Open (tennis) where should I stay?

Money is an object. All I need is a place to sleep. I'm not even opposed to a hall bathroom - I've done that before. I don't have to be in the thick of it. The tournament is on the LIRR and the 7 train. I would certainly be going to at least one night session so I would need to get back to the hotel late.

I've read that there are some decent yet affordable hotels along the 7 line. You don't want to use the LIRR, it's a commuter train and is expensive. - Krusty Jun 27, 18:05
