Oh god yes. Bali can be whatever you want. Last time we went for a week so M could do a yoga thing.

We spent a couple days diving on a small island just east (Lembongan). Fabulous diving, had a nice little hut that was US$25/night, then went up into the hills for the yoga thing. Got an airbnb in Ubud for like $75/night. Bedroom, kitchen, little plunge pool, backed onto some terraced rice paddies. Not that you need a kitchen, since food is *cheap*.
The thing to know about Bali is that because it's so cheap from here it's kind of full of drunken Australians in some parts. Others not so much. It's like where people go for a quick cheap tropical vacation.
