Anyone want an update on the pestering addict?

He called about 20 more times and I kept avoiding the phone as much as humanly possible.

Finally my boss spoke to someone else in his family and while i *don't* know exactly what was said, after that conversation i was told that if he called me back directly to say, "[Boss] wanted to me to remind you he's a friend of (name of addict's relative)."

So, i got to have THAT fun conversation. He never once called my boss directly, just me. i am sure he didn't have the balls to talk to him directly. That conversation ended with a sort of garbled monologue about how he didn't know what that meant, but he guess it meant no, and what about his cancer, and he was desperate, and he couldn't buy food, etc etc.

I figured it was now over.

But i just an email that simply said "Remind (Boss) that he was a friend of my father's too."

This is when i'm glad my office has a couple layers of security to get in here.
