#4 and #5 had a 20% drop domestic and #5 finished literally half of what #1 did.

DC made significantly more internationally from Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman and those were damaging.
The Garfields were bad. #3 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen given the resources involved.
The series was dying on the vine, regardless of how much Chinese money they got in the last few years.
