Kevin Feige and his team were clearly chomping at the bit to do a good Spider-Man film after so many debacles. Making him a true citizen of NY with his ups and downs reminded me of why I loved the character as a kid.

But the master stroke was the prom reveal. I have said several times how annoyed I get that every villain deduces the identity of the superhero. This was different. That was an extremely gratifying payoff.
