i'll never understand all the carping about how absurd athlete's salaries are....

they're only absurd because the ancillary revenues are so huge because people the world over are willing to pay to watchem in person and on tv, and to buy jerseys with their name on them.

it's no different than the rock taking home tens of millions a year because people are willing to buy tickets to movies. but nobody ever cries about how much money movie stars make.

not to mention, if a pinhead like james dolan is willing to pour out over seventy million bucks for tim hardaway jr, y'know what that likely also means? that the revenues for an owner are such that it makes it well worth the cost to management. i'd just as soon see the players make the money as long as assholes like dolan are raking it in.
