Posit: The Canadian Left when it comes to foreign policy is actually growing more marginalized and that support for obvious leftist positions on topics such as the War of Terror or Israel/Palestine actually received more play ten years ago and have a far lesser audience amongst Canadians today.
Further, when foreign policy does have a position in Canada, it is usually more couched with domestic politics in mind, such as feminism (abortion services as part of foreign aid) or economic (trade deals).
Knee jerk thoughts?
