Right. And just flat out incoherence. The way he avoids briefings and such, I'm guessing, is not just laziness (though that's part of it). I think

he can't follow them so he gets distracted and frustrated. I've seen this in my father. He was an avid reader his whole life, but he doesn't read anymore because he can't really follow the stories.
