hey amanda, I tried the foil packet in the IP tonight.

I had 5 packets (corn cobs cut into thirds, kielbasa, small red potatoes cut into quarters). I put 3 in the first time (on top of the little trivet thing that keeps everything out of the water), and did 11 minutes, instant release. I forgot to close the steam valve so I'm not sure if anything was "cooking" while the steam was releasing while it was trying to heat up. Everything is pretty much done, but the potatoes are a little bit on the crunchier side. They're mostly cooked, but not the way I like them. (I didn't pre-cook anything first.)

The last 2 I put in for 10 minutes but did 5 minutes of natural release. (I was outside and forgot to check on them, heh.) Potatoes are definitely cooked but not mushy. I opened the packs right away so they won't cook much more.

The woman who told me about putting them in the IP said she cooks for 12 minutes, instant release.
