How old are they? How long has this guy had them? Do you really want to get gerbils for your kids that are going to die sooner rather than later?

As your gerbils get older, they may have some special needs related to aging. Gerbils usually live to be about three years old. Some gerbils don't make it that long, while others live to be around 4 years old.
