btw - you all should see Dunkirk. It's a surprisingly good movie, even with the heightened expectations. you don't exhale for the entire 96 mins. NS

It's a intricately constructed plotted movie which surprised me. There's time jumping so you really need to pay attention and look for clues, whether it's characters seen, events which take place, etc. I didn't expect that.
As Diva said when we left, the soundtrack is another character. It elevates the tension constantly.
The dialogue is sparse so there's a lot of facial acting which was really well done.
A few things I wish had been done differently. I admire the desire not to employ CGI but at times, it felt "small". Like, it could have used more soldiers.
And, I was not a fan of the 70mm. I saw no advantage to it. In fact, I thought it detracted from my enjoyment. The movement seemed "jittery". I'm willing to blame our movie house however as I can't believe that's what Nolan intended, if so...they can keep 70mm in the 70s.
But, this is a movie that should be seen.
