They printed the name of it and what number of the edition it is on the blade near the hilt. I have #1959. The Damascus pattern is printed on the blade and looks kinda fake, but the blade is really sharp. The 2 red stones on the sides I am still guessing that they will be rubies the priestesses have on their chokers, or red dragon glass in the show. There is also a third red stone on the bottom of the handle we never see onscreen. This could also be an important stone for it's use in the show. Or just a decoration. The plastic dragon bone hilt is not as bad as what the pictures showed. Overall I am happy, but know a handful of ways they could have made it better at almost no additional cost. The biggest is to have a sheath for it. Not everyone will hang it on the wall and the blade is really sharp and will cut if anyone is stupid playing with it.
this part is new as of tonight
I have searched ebay for cheap leather sheaths. I have found 1 seller who has a style I want, but not the color. I am waiting to see what changes are in their next weeks sales. I do not need it badly, but I feel safer playing with it when the very sharp blade is covered. right now I have an old sheath from a buck knife I have on it.
