Corporate 'scandal' here this week.

Our company does a subsidized day at Canada's Wonderland each summer for staff (big giant amusement park). it's for all the locations in the area.

it includes a day pass and a lunch and parking for employees and their kids, if they have any. Employees pay $5 per person (which is really just a way of making them show up - it makes a difference somehow if people have put ANY money up front they tend to not skip it last minute) and the company covers the rest (works out to about $50 a person.)

Two things have happened. The last couple years people were taking guests that never ever should have been allowed - grandchildren (like, 8 of them), kid's friends, etc. So this year they made sure the family guidelines were much more prominently featured. People are whining.

But, the bigger problem is they sent the invitation to everyone. Including summer students and contract workers. Both of whom are apparently not supposed to be invited anymore (this seems crappy to me, and actually very unlike our normal corporate culture). NOW they have *revoked the invitation.*

Oh, the unrest.
