With Charlize playing an accent having, ass kicking blonde, I went and looked up 2 Days in the Valley and turns out that was released not quite 21 years ago so that means I've been a fan of hers for not quite 21 years
So Charlize starring and that trailer got me into the theater (one of AMC Dolby screens no less).
But then the soundtrack...that's 'my' music
The time is my first quarter of college with the lead up being my end of high school so of course I remember the overall times
The movie is stylish and might have some of the brightest, dark scenes I've seen in awhile. And by that I'm trying to describe dark rooms that have really contrasting lit areas. Reminding of me of something like a concert or a club. Well one of the scenes is a club.....
And there's an insanely long set piece that never seems to cut. Baby Driver has its impeccably paced long take but Atomic Blonde has a full on, multiple floor action sequence that just never stops.
Oh...and the fact that she seemingly only drinks Stoli on ice..... I get that too ;-)
