I thought I saw a homage to Peter Jackson last night on GoT (spoiler)

In the shots of the Lannister army marching on Highgarden, there is one quick shot of Lannisters with long lances. It lasts just a couple of seconds.

The helmets they wear are the same style as the helmets of the Uruk Hai carrying the lances before the walls of Helms Deep. It looked like a homage to me.
