I was surprised by the Walk About portion of the movie...
I loved the girl. She did great face acting.
Steve Zahn took motion capture acting to another level. It was impressive.
And it was neat to see the evolution of Caesar's intelligence. They did a neat thing where he speaks in complete sentences which is an improvement over his phrase to phrase speaking.
But lord...does the plot require some really really REALLY stupid military people. Take out one guard in a guard tower and you have freedom of movement across the entire military base. A little girl can wander, freely around, the base. Approaching the prisoner cages with absolutely NO ONE noticing for long periods of time.
I try to figure holes like this but the movie was riddled with them.
