before we got there. (not big ones.)
all the power was out except a few little small pockets and the motel had a generator, apparently.
it was very very very very dark.

no, we had *no* idea. We only heard about the storm that we'd missed as we checked in. Even then, the tornadoes were still just a -- (edited)
