It's not meant to be glib at all. I see value in good education, I think grades, and stress, and performing under pressure have value.

That doesn't make me part of the "alt-right" which has come to mean the white-nationalists, racists, etc.
And, I don't know if there's an attempt to discourage education, but there is certainly the belief that most institutions of higher learning don't represent conservative beliefs, while pushing a liberal ideology; of course conservatives are going to bristle at that, to argue against what they perceive to be the further liberalization of education. Grades don't matter, feelings matter. Sorry, but that doesn't fly with me. But that doesn't mean I'm sitting here pounding my fists on the desk blowing my top raging against something I disagree with.
So, if my stating a differing opinion is going to constantly get me being called an alt-righter with anger management issues, I'd rather just go back to not getting involved in these types of discussions.
