They're pitching an extreme version of ESPN 3/Watch ESPN. It's an expansion of that.

Live events are the only true source of planned eyeballs today. Disney's banking that this will remain true in the era of personal streaming.

As for the last thing, that's why I'm convinced this is their exit strategy. They like the money from cable carriers, but they know the jig is almost up. So, they're going to take Netflix's strategy from Netflix.
