This crossed my mind this morning. So many people wanted ala carte and now they get to have multiple sites/apps to watch things instead of one cable box. -- (edited)

I can't stand that we're getting to the point where everything is so separated. Torrents are going to become the better option again.
I still have DirecTV because of live sports and I like the convenience of not having to use my Xbox and then search the different sites to figure out which one has the show or movie I'm looking to watch.
Things have splintered too much. Everyone can't have their own app/streaming site. It won't work.
