She's an "only abstinance is allowed; if you have pre-marital sex you're evil; I've never seen an R rated movie because they're icky; real vampires are just too goth so I'll make them sparkle; Hot Topics loves me now" kind of person. There's a growing backlash against her underlying message--not that most authors don't have an underlying message--but hers is more unpalatable to a lot of folks than most.
