A few days or weeks after 9/11, however, there was one of those. We were downstairs in record time (the Canadian consulate was in the next building, so what the hell, it could happen.)

Of course we didn't know how to behave, so we just had lunch downstairs, which defeats the point if it's not a drill (and it wasn't).

From then on, the drills became mandatory for all.
