I'm good, right?
After dinner, about 10pm, i called for an uber to take me, and a friend, home. It said it would be there in 6 minutes. Great.
Then, we stood there and the app showed ZERO movement for the car. I thought maybe the map just wasn't working. After *12* minutes of nothing, i texted the driver to see if something was wrong with the app, or he was stuck, or something. No response. App jumps and says "arriving in two minutes." Okay. Then, still nothing. After waiting 17 minutes, it jumped back to Arriving in 6 minutes. I texted again, confirmed our location. No response.
I cancelled and we got in a taxi that was right there.
The driver made a comment "sorry we couldn't connect. Next time!" I disputed the $5 charge.
Totally fair to do that, right?

I would. Ride-sharing can be good, but also flaky. -- nm
