ok, the whole detonate Jughead thing.

Last week, Faraday talked about how Desmond failed to push the button, which caused the incident that crashed 815.

We saw Locke not press the button later on and the hatch blew the fuck up...

If Desmond had also not pushed the button...how was the hatch still there for Locke to find?
